Loboc Riverwatch Floating Restaurant is a popular attraction located in Bohol, Philippines. This unique experience offers visitors the opportunity to dine on a traditional Filipino lunch buffet while cruising down the serene Loboc River.
As we arrived at the docking area, we were welcomed by the staff of the restaurant who were all friendly and accommodating. We were given traditional Filipino leis made of flowers and led to our assigned table on the open-air deck of the restaurant. The drivers of the van who takes the tourists to that place would be free from charge of the buffet.
As we started the cruise, we were greeted by the beautiful scenery of the calm river with lush green trees and mountains in the background. We also saw a cascading waterfall before we get back to the dock. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, making this experience a perfect escape from the busy streets of the city.
As the boat started to move, the buffet was opened for the guests. The spread was a range of Filipino traditional dishes. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed a variety of dishes, such as adobo, kinilaw, pancit, and many more.
The highlight of the trip was the cultural performance by local musicians and dancers. Their performance showcased the culture and traditions of the local tribes in Bohol. They also invited us to join in on the dance, tinikling making it a fun experience.
Throughout the journey, we learned about the history and significance of the river to the locals. Our guide shared the importance of preserving the river and the efforts to keep it clean and pristine.
